Founder and President, Step into Your Moxie | Keynote Speaker and Author | Women's Leadership and Communication Skills Expert

Dubbed a "Moxie Maven" by the White House Office of Public Engagement for her unique and effective approach to women's communication and leadership development, Alexia Vernon is the founder and president of Step into Your Moxie. A certified women-owned and disability-owned business, Step into Your Moxie helps organizations develop their people, their communication strategy and training, and create messaging that calls in the right employees, customers, and opportunities. Alexia and her team excel at supporting executives, key leaders, and their teams to communicate powerfully in presentations, conversations, and in written communication. Alexia's ‘secret sauce’ is showing leaders how to develop the mindset and skillset to be present with the discomfort that often comes up when speaking—especially during high-stakes communication. Alexia's mission is to ensure her clients and audience members can walk into any room, conversation, or onto any stage and speak up for themselves, their important ideas, and call people to take action.

Since winning the Miss Junior America competition, Alexia has delivered transformational keynotes and programs for Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, government and educational institutions, professional associations, the United Nations, and she is a TEDxWomen speaker. Alexia has contributed to media such as CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, Entrepreneur.com, Forbes.com, Inc.com, European Business Review, and Women’s Health Magazine. Alexia is the author of multiple books including Step into Your Moxie: Amplify Your Voice, Visibility, and Influence in the World (New World Library and Penguin Random House Audio). She is also the creator of the popular LinkedIn Learning course, Communicating to Drive People to Take Action.
