Dr. Nadia Lopez is a globally recognized education leader, celebrated for founding a school in Brownsville, Brooklyn to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. Her work gained international attention through Humans of New York and has been featured by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Glamour, with appearances on Good Morning America and The Today Show.
Her accolades include LinkedIn’s Top 10 Voices in Education (2019), a 2016 Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize finalist, and the 2015 Black Girls Rock Award alongside First Lady Michelle Obama. She has spoken at the White House, delivered a TED Talk with over a million views, and lectures at Harvard and St. George’s University.
Currently Chief Impact Officer at College and Community Fellowship, Dr. Lopez empowers formerly incarcerated women and leads global education initiatives in Grenada. Through her work, she has impacted over a million lives—with a mission to inspire a billion more.
