Richard Polak’s experience spans more than thirty-five years, including having advised over 300 of the world’s most innovative multinational organizations in global expansion. His specialty is in Global Human Resources and Labor. He works with firms in selecting locations, increasing productivity, global benefits, and other solutions to meet the demands of international organizations undergoing rapid global change.
Mr. Polak was a subject matter expert for SHRM’s GPHR Learning System. He has presented at many conferences for organizations worldwide, including the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Social Security Reform in Bulgaria, several Compensation and Benefits Associations, the National Conference on Pension Reform, SHRM, WorldatWork, American Benefits Council, and the International Leadership Forum. He had curated and produced the IBIS Academy, a leading HR conference in Europe, for the past 25 years. Richard Polak’s WorldatWork article on Global Benefit Strategies earned him an award for one of the four best pieces. He has been interviewed in and has had articles published in Employee Benefits Adviser, Workspan, Benefits and Compensation International, Employee Benefit News, Global Benefits Vision, Compensation and Benefits Management, HR.com, SHRM’s HR News, and dozens of business journals. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the American Benefits Council in Washington, DC.
Mr. Polak holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Mathematics from Alfred University in New York, with continued studies at Columbia University, The New School for Social Research, and UCLA. He is also a published playwright, having seven plays produced internationally.
